Born in 1967 in Bruneck / South Tyrol | Studies at the Music College of the Saarland in Saarbrücken with Prof. Joshua Epstein | Solo class with Prof. Yfran Neaman in London | Graduated the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1995 | Extensive concert activities as a soloist and chamber musician in most countries of Europe, Israel, China, Saudi Arabia and Egypt | Between 1993 – 1996 he was a member of the E.T.A. Hoffmann Trios, first violinist in the Arion Quartetts, the Balance Trios and since 2007 the newly founded Korngold Quartet | Chamber music partner of artists such as Mirijam Contzen, Stefan Tönz, Daniel Müller-Schott, Alfredo Perl, Benedikt Koehlen or Stefan Johannes Bleicher | Solo performances with the Munich Symphony, the Romanian State Philharmonic Orchestra in Arad and the Symphony Orchestra of the Szeged State Opera and recently with the Munich Chamber Orchestra led by Christoph Poppen | Since 1995 full-time violin teacher in Bad Saulgau | Organization and direction of the “Tonkunst” festival in Bad Saulgau which he initiated.

Since 1999 partnership with the BMG Label Arte Nova | Recordings of the violin sonatas of Robert Schumann, the Kreutzer Sonata by Ludwig van Beethoven as well as a widely recognized adaptation of all works by Gabriel Fauré for violin and piano.
String chamber music - from duets to octets
This course is intended for already existing string ensembles as well as individual musicians, who wish to perfect their solo repertoire.
We will work on pieces from the classical-romantic repertoire. Particular focus will be placed on a clear and stringent phrasing as well as the realization of the corresponding playing techniques.
Participation requirements and application documents
Training at a college of music or conservatory or many years of playing in an orchestra or chamber music ensemble. Willingness to prepare your own pieces for the course.
