Jochen Heckmann

Jochen Heckmann, geboren 1968, Tanzausbildung in Deutschland und Paris bei Solange Golovine, Peter Goss und Martine Harmel. Von 1990 bis 1993 Mitglied der Schweizer Tanzkompanie CONTEMPORARY DANCE ZURICH (Paula Lanslay), anschließend in solistischen Rollen am Ballett-Theater-Hagen (Richard Werlock). Seit 1990 Unterricht an z.B. der Schweizerischen Ballettberufsschule (Direktoren: Ljuba und Pierre Dobrievitch und Heinz Spoerli) und als Co-Direktor beim "Performance Year". Internationale Meisterklassen in Dänemark, England, Italien und Tschechien. 1995 Gründung das Ensembles "LOOPING contemporary dance company" in Zürich.

Prizes:

1992	1st Prize in Hannover
1998	1st Prize at the International Choreographer Competition of the "Royal Danish Ballet" in Copenhagen
1996	and 1999 Choreographer prize and silver medal at the 3rd "International Ballet and Modern Dance Competition" in Nagoya/Japan
1997	1st Prize with the solo "Gentlemansong Nr.3" at the "1st International Solo-Dance Theater Festival" in Augsburg
2000	1st Prize with the solo "Gentlemansong Nr.3" at the same festival in Stuttgart Choreographer and audience prize for the female solo "Unfolding II"

Additional activities:

Guest choreography in Lisbon with the company CeDeCe, at the Prague Chamber Ballet, in London (Transitions), in the national theatre of Lodz (Poland), in the State Theater of Saarbrücken and Braunschweig as well as in cooperation with the German director Christof Loy at the opera festival Glyndebourne (GB). Since the 1999/2000 season, Jochen Heckmann has been the ballet director and head choreographer at the Augsburg Theater. Foundation of the AUGSBURG BALLET-THEATER with international performers.
